Our designs explore the timeless heritage of the East Coast alongside the livable, barefoot ease of our coastal roots. We love working up and down the Eastern Seaboard, focusing on projects in our backyard at the Delaware beaches and Maryland’s Eastern Shore, with select projects from South Florida to the Hamptons.

Some years feel meant for looking back, while others seem only to push me to look ahead. On the eve of 2025, it’s all ahead. It could be the amount of project wraps vs new beginnings (of which this year was more the latter), those in the decorating phase vs build execution (again, heavily the latter) or just where we are in life, but right now I’m feeling inspired and excited to bring to the finish line a handful of incredibly special projects that have been in the works long before this year…and to share them with you 🤍 Progress shots are wonderful, but who doesn’t love a full reveal? Here’s one room of what’s to come.

Time to prep those tablescapes! I love envisioning these rooms full of food and family. I can’t believe we haven’t really ever shared this dining room from Avondale. It’s nestled between rooms on the same floor with dramatic walls and ceilings so it’s more of a subtle textural palette cleanse, ready to take to linens, flatware and florals for any season - though personally those glazed ginger drapes are feeling very apropos for tomorrow’s big day 🍁
*Fun fact: this is where I really fell for reeded millwork details. Though it’s become a bigger and bigger trend we found it on the salvaged fireplace surround that was original to the house! We brought that detail through to the paneled walls, drenched in the perfect creamy white. Swipe to see ✨

The holidays at this phase of our lives with our three littles are such a time of magic ✨ While I’m not one to skip over Thanksgiving, it’s hard to resist the planning and excitement that comes with those special days approaching. Current state of affairs ☝️ The seven full home projects we have on our boards currently with two more waiting in the wings. Feeling grateful for our part in creating these houses with talented architects and trades for special clients. From rivers, to bays, to the ocean, my hope is that each has its own unique feel of the coast. 🤍

1. Tidewaters: A collected, traditional, “pile-in” family home with ocean views and Dutch Hamptons nods. Construction drawing to a close in the coming weeks with interiors install early 2025.
2. Hamptons Garden: A graceful, classic summer home where stripes and florals meet washed blues, and gustavian details. Selections presentations complete with install before the next season on the sound.
3. Fish Camp: A cozy country house on the river with a heritage feel where our travelled, adventurous clients have chosen to create their forever home. Build concept complete, execution underway, with interiors selections to come later this year.
4. Acres Shingle House: A classic coastal charmer built for summer days and family gatherings. Build wrapping up in early 2025, interiors to follow.
5. Blackpool Bayviews: A dream house in a dream location for incredibly special repeat clients. Just kicked off, with build concept underway.
6. Pine Reach Cottage: A calming summer getaway with clean lines and a textural, natural palette of sea tones. Build concept complete with build selections happening this fall.
7. Indian Creek: A stunning Anglo-Caribbean house with an airy feel and no shortage of old world details. Architectural review and space planning phase.

It is so worth the wait. An immense amount of gratitude to the clients who made this happen and to my dear friend @eastandlane who has photographed with me from day one. A few of my favorite things 🤎 Our own home is far from perfect but it’s the curated little corners amidst the chaos that I love… the Hwang Bishop Tortoise Sconce over the tiny vintage cubist sketch and the perfectly placed Lewis & Wood patterned stripe are just a few things that bring a smile to my face.

Shipping out, Hamptons bound! After site visits and our concept presentation, we do our best to bundle up all of our blood, sweat, tears, and trims (ha!) into a box to give our remote decorating projects the same love as if they were here with us. Can’t wait to see these classic, garden vibes come to life in a seaside town a few hours up the coast!

Technically still a progress shot but I couldn’t wait to share this pretty, cozy kitchen. The extra space in the deep window bay for plants is simply dreamy. It’s hard to capture just how beautiful the color is in person too. “Tidewaters”, an absolute favorite from our collection with @uniquekitchensandbaths ✨

Is there a harder working space than the mudroom? Took a chance on a blushy-tan color I’d never used before and love it so much. It even won over some highly skeptical contractors 😉 Side note, you wouldn’t believe how not white the “white” is in the rest of walls in the space. Color is all relative.

Hello, it’s me, Jess!

The truth is, I’ve gone to post this re-intro a handful of times, and each time I’ve opened this crazy app, the face of an accomplished peer has greeted me with bigger achievements, more profound words, the list goes on…and it has made me hesitate. It’s so much easier to hide behind pretty interior photos! But today I didn’t want to let fear or comparison stop me from connecting with YOU, so here goes ❤️

I’m mom to a 7 year-old sports-playing, Harry Potter-loving, old soul of a son, Wes, and 2 yr-old twins; Vivy, a fiery, hard-to-get, tiny girl and Cash, a sensitive, big-hearted curly-headed sweet boy. I moved back to coastal DE 7 years ago with the love of my life, Alan, now my co-pilot in life and business. Little did I know then that my passion/obsession with interiors would lead me to start my business from my house, and turn it into a small but mighty team from our studio on Rehoboth Ave.

The last few years have been spent honing our craft and setting us up to take on work in our sweet spot - layered, classic homes with a barefoot feel that comes with being near the water. Growing up here, “coastal” was always a word I tripped over, signaling anchors, seashells and kitschy signs. Now my life is dedicated to exploring how to imbue the spirit of the coast into homes in a more personal, less obvious way. And I love it.

Truthfully, we’ve had some growing pains. We said “yes” to a lot; too much at times. Every day has not been easy. But we’ve stayed the course and had the chance to do some amazing things. We have an incredible team who have become family…Kristen and Savannah, in particular, have trekked all over the East Coast with me! We’ve worked with special people who have given us the chance to grow while doing what we love❤️

Do we have big things in the works and even bigger dreams? Yes, for sure. But what makes my heart flutter is a pic from a client showing a corner of their space they love the most. Or an email after an install saying “is this really my house now?!!” Call me cheesy, but that’s what gets me out of bed in the morning :) So thank you for cheering us on, and so excited to share what’s to come!

It’s a lot to keep straight but each pushed us in different ways and got a us a step closer in our quest of finding that #eastcoastal feel we love. So much to share in the year ahead!

It’s a lot to keep straight but each pushed us in different ways and got a us a step closer in our quest of finding that #eastcoastal feel we love. So much to share in the year ahead!

Simple greenery is all this mantel needs for its first Christmas ✨ When we have the fire going I still pinch myself that over the seven years we’ve lived here we have slowly, piece by piece, made this house feel like our home. Of those pieces, I think this is my favorite ❤️

It’s an exciting day! ✨ We are thrilled to officially launch our Cabinetry Collection with @uniquekitchensandbaths . It has been a long time coming as we have poured over the details of 5 different door styles and 12 colors and stains that capture that effortless feeling of the coast. We are thrilled to be able to offer our designs across the country with the quality construction and incredible custom details from such a trusted partner as Unique Kitchens and Baths. They are as passionate about their craft as we are and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We will be sharing more details of the door styles and colors throughout the week but give us a shout out if you have questions! Can’t wait to see more kitchens and baths from the collection come to life in soon!!

One of the more unique challenges we’ve taken on to date…connecting two lots front to back into one cohesive house in our packed little beach town. From day one, a stunning hallway was a non-negotiable. Millwork with a modern bend, vintage lighting and patterned floors are starting to make this place shine. Paint up next, install in a few short weeks!

Back to sharing some of our own personal spaces and this hard-working one gets a lot of abuse…I mean, love 😉 We recently had the chance to chat with @archdigestpro about great brown (yes, brown!) paint colors and this clay-toned hue had to make the list! And this kid had to make his modeling debut - he insisted on wearing the suit. Gosh I love him 🤎
